You're a passionate, multifaceted communicator committed to using your gifts to help bring people to Christ. You find joy in designing and executing top-notch creative communication strategies that will inspire hundreds of people each week to find healing, restart their fire and help make a difference.

You love personal development, church growth, and marketing. You have an elevated, modern taste in design and understand how visuals are married to communications. You're intuitive and innovative when considering how people will encounter and experience the Living The Word Church brand. You're committed to learning how your work plays into the strategic goals of the church.

As a part of our team, you'll wear many hats and have the opportunity to grow and shape how the organization reaches the community and introduces people to Jesus.

What You'll Do In this Role:

  • Update and/or design the look and function of our website, app, marketing materials, social channels, and other visual assets
  • Create and contribute, both visually and strategically, to all marketing initiatives
  • Design and execute marketing strategies around all events and initiatives
  • Optimize the flow and delivery of church communication to the congregation, community, and stakeholders
  • Create and work within brand guidelines to consistently apply our standards through visual touchpoints
  • Collaborate with the Video Production Team to align graphic designs and messaging with cross-channel communications
  • Establish project timelines and the parameters that impact them
  • Work with team leaders to understand the vision and purpose of each ministry for effectively promoting events, opportunities, and initiatives
  • Lead, support, recruit, and train volunteers in copywriting, social media, and graphic design, and assure quality and performance of their developed marketing materials
  • Create work that is impactful, innovative, and conversion oriented
  • Other duties as assigned

This Describes You

  • You're a creative and strategic communicator with a special place in your heart for building the Kingdom of God
  • You have a clear understanding of Biblical principles and scripture and can incorporate that into your communication strategy
  • You're all about using social media to drive conversions and have specific experience in this area
  • You thrive on mapping out strategic initiatives to increase visibility for the church. You also love implementing your ideas with the execution of social media content, newsletters, ads, graphics, etc.
  • You're able to juggle multiple projects and communicate honestly about your timelines, challenges, and questions
  • You contribute ideas and execute the vision of senior leadership in excellence
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team - you'll need to do both here
  • You're extremely detail-oriented and love dotting every "i" and crossing every "t."
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You're an effective, clear communicator in all formats
  • You're a maximizer and have a knack for finding ways to optimize and improve everything you're involved with
  • You strive to deliver ahead of deadlines
  • You're comfortable working virtually and in-person
  • You understand the value of teamwork and embody the values of partnership.
  • You're a born GO GETTER — always looking for ways to add value, do better work, improve efficiencies, build others up, and make the Kingdom known to all
  • You care deeply about your work, colleagues, and the well-being of the church
  • You care deeply about yourself and know how to manage your own stressors and prevent burnout
  • You care deeply about your relationship with God and understand working at the church is not a substitute for being discipled
  • You're not attached to your ego — you're focused on finding, developing, and executing the best ideas to get the best results

Necessary Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in church or nonprofit communications

About Living The Word

Do you remember that initial spark—the moment you woke up to your purpose? Where you suddenly felt alive, ready to take on the world?

Maybe it started as a tiny ember, but it grew into a bonfire of life-giving warmth. You were all light. All joy. And it seemed like nothing could ever stop what God was doing in your heart.

But then, maybe you trusted someone who wasn't trustworthy, who stole your fire and left you in the cold. Maybe rules or obligations snuffed it out, or life sent more rain than you could handle.

And even if you look perfect on the outside, you know you're not okay. You lost that special part of you, and now you wonder if it's too late to get it back.

We've been there, too — burned out, tired, and wondering if God could help us. We thought we had done everything right, only to come up short in the end.

We needed rest.

And when we went back to Him, we found grace for mistakes we had made. We found healing from disappointment and heartache. We received rest for our tired-out souls.

We discovered you can find glowing embers among the ashes. Hope and passion can spring to life again. And, with help from Jesus and trustworthy people, you can start a fresh fire — one you can sustain for as long as you live, bringing light and warmth to everyone you meet.

Find healing. Restart your fire. Help make a difference in the lives of others here at Living the Word Church.
